- 4 eggs
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cake flour
- 2/3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. anise extract
Directions

1Separate eggs; beat egg yolks until light and lemon-colored. Add sugar to egg yolks gradually beating it in.

2Add dry ingredients; sift together and add anise flavoring.

3Fold in egg whites beaten until stiff but not dry.

4Turn into a greased shallow pan and bake in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes or until done.
