Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. chopped dates (do not use chopped dates in carton)
- 1 c. sliced maraschino cherries
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in nuts, dates, cherries and chocolate chips.

2In a small bowl beat eggs with sugar.

3Stir into flour mixture.

4Turn into a greased and floured 9-inch loaf pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.

6Cool in pan 10 minutes.

7Remove and cool on rack.

8Bread is best wrapped and stored at least 1 day before slicing and serving.
