- 3 Large eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. cut up dates
- 1 (10 ounce.) jar maraschino cherries, liquid removed & cut up
- 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pcs
- 1 c. coarsely minced nuts
Directions

1Combine sugar and Large eggs.

2Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.

3Add in to egg mix.

4Stir in dates, cherries, chocolate chips and nuts.

5Pour batter into a well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.

6Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 1 1/4 hrs or possibly till cake tester inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.

7Cold in pan 10 min; remove to wire rack to complete cooling.

8Wrap in foil and let stand overnight before slicing.
