  • 13 cup water, lukewarm
  • 34 cup milk, scalded
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup oil
  • 3 34 cups flour

    Poof yeast in lukewarm water.

    Add milk, sugar, salt, egg, oil and flour.

    Beat well to make a smooth dough; make sure milk is only warm.

    Let rise until doubled.

    Cut with doughnut cutter.

    Fill with prune or apricot filling.

    Let set a few minutes.

    Fry in deep fat until nice and brown.
