- 1/4 c. milk
- 3/4 lb. chuck, chopped
- 1 medium onion
- butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. white cornmeal
- salt
- pepper
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. dry white wine (could also vary by substituting with red)
- 1 tsp. chopped parsley
Directions

1Crumble slices of stale bread and soak in milk.

2Add ground beef (chuck) and onion (finely chopped) and sauteed in butter; add beaten eggs, uncooked white cornmeal, salt, pepper and a little nutmeg.

3Combine the mixture thoroughly and let it stand for 1 hour or more.
