- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour (not sifted)
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar (in a small bowl)
Directions

1Do not preheat oven yet - dough mush chill before baking.

2Melt chocolate chips with butter. (Microwave on high power for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth).

3Mix in sugar.

4Allow to cool.

5Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

6Mix in vanilla, baking powder and salt.

7Add flour & mix well.
-
8Chill dough for at least 4 hours (overnight is even better).

9Preheat oven to 350 degrees with rack in middle position.

10Roll walnut-sized dough balls with you hands (this is messy, you might want to wear plastic gloves).

11Drop the balls into the bowl of confectioners' sugar & roll them around until they are covered.

12If dough gets too warm, stick it back into the fridge until you can handle it again.

13Place the balls on a cookie sheet (12 to a standard sheet works best).

14Do not flatten - they will flatten as they bake.

15Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.

16Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes and then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.

17Eat and enjoy.
