- 4 ounces olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 ounce diced pimento
Directions

1Pick through beans and wash thoroughly.

2Soak beans in cold water for 1 to 2 hours.

3Drain and place in a pot and cover with fresh water.

4Cook covered on medium heat until beans are tender.

5Drain any remaining liquid and add remaining ingredients.
