- 6 oz. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. salad oil
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat cream cheese.

2Add egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt; blend well.

3Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.

4Sift together flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Combine water, salad oil, vinegar and vanilla.

5Combine dry ingredients and liquids, beat well.

6Pour into paper-lined muffin pans, filling 1/2 full.

7Top with heaping teaspoonful of cheese mixture.

8Bake for 25 to 28 minutes at 350°.
