Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil

Directions

    Beat together the first 5 ingredients; set aside.

    In another bowl, sift together the next 5 ingredients.

    Add to this the water, vinegar, vanilla and cooking oil.

    Beat until well blended. Fill paper lined muffin tins 1/3 to 1/2 full with chocolate batter.

    Top with 1 heaping teaspoonful cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle top with granulated sugar.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
