- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine the first 4 ingredients; set aside.

2Stir in the chocolate chips.

3Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, salt and soda.

4Add the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla to sifted ingredients; beat until combined.

5Fill paper muffin cups 1/3 full.

6Top with 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture.

7Sprinkle with sugar and nuts.

8Bake at 350° for about 20 to 25 minutes. Serves 24.
