Black Pepper Martini

- 2 1/2 ounces hendricks gin
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- ice
- Black Peppercorn Syrup (use 1/2 ounce)
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorn
- 1 tablespoon cracked black peppercorns
Directions

1For Black Peppercorn Syrup:

2Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved.

3Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to bring mixture to a simmer; cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

4Strain the cooled syrup and refrigerate it in a container with a tightfitting lid.

6Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Stir with a bar spoon, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
