  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 cup black raspberries
  • 1/4 nutmeg

    Preheat oven to 375F

    Mix half of the margarine and half of sugar.

    Then add in egg and vanilla.

    Combine 1 cup flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add mixes alternately with milk to creamed mixture.

    Starting and ending with dry ingredients.

    Pour into a greased 9 inches square baking dish with black raspberries.

    Combine remaining sugar, flour and nutmeg.

    Cut in remaining butter until the texture of cornmeal.

    Sprinkle over black raspberries.

    Bake 40-45 mins.

    Cool slightly before serving.
