  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, at room temperature
  • 2 c. unsifted flour, minus 2 Tbsp.
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. black walnuts
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 5 large eggs

Directions

    Put the ingredients into a large mixing bowl in order given, without mixing.

    With electric mixer, blend and then beat at high speed for 5 minutes.

    Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan; pour batter into the pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool in the pan before removing.
