  • 2 small cans black walnuts or the equivalent thereof
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. margarine
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 unbeaten eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter with sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, ending with flour.

    Add vanilla and floured walnuts.

    Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350° for 45 minutes or until toothpick tests done.

    Cool on a rack for 20 minutes before removing from pan to cool.
