- 6 eggs
- 1 lb. flour (3 c.)
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 lb. flour (4 c.)
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. chopped black walnuts
- additional flavoring (if necessary)
Directions

1Cream eggs, sugar and butter.

2Add baking soda and cream of tartar to flour.

3Add flour mixture, beginning with flour, adding milk and ending with flour.

4Add black walnuts.

5Coat walnuts with part of the flour.

6Pour in a well greased and floured tube pan.

7Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
