  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. black walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar and salt together.

    Beat eggs until lemony and add to mixture.

    Blend well; add chopped nuts and vanilla. Mix well.

    Pour into pie plate lined with uncooked pastry.

    Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

    Lower temperature to 350° and bake until firm.
