- 1/2 lb. butter
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. black walnut flavoring
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream the butter and Crisco. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

2Add flavoring and beat well.

3Mix 1/4 cup flour with nuts.

4Sift remaining flour with baking powder. Add alternately with milk. Fold in nuts.

5Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
