- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. nutmeg
- 6 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 c. blackberry jelly
- 4 c. flour
- 1 c. nuts, chopped fine
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1Sift flour 3 times and measure.

2Add spices, nuts and raisins. Mix together and set aside.

3Cream sugar and butter.

4Add beaten egg yolks, then buttermilk with soda mixed in it, then jelly, then add flour mixture.

5Fold in beaten egg whites.

6Bake in large angel food cake pan which has been greased and floured.

7Bake at 325° about 1 1/2 hours.
