- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. blackberry jam
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1In a medium size bowl mix

2the flour, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon.

3Set aside.

4Mix the baking soda in the buttermilk.

5In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar.

6Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

7Add vanilla, mix well.

8To the cream mixture add the jam, flour and buttermilk alternately.

9Bake in 3 greased and floured

10cake pans.

11Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
