- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 4 c. fresh blackberries
- vanilla ice cream (optional)
- any kind of pie crust
Directions

1Line a 9-inch pie plate with half of the pastry; trim the edges of crust.

2Combine sugar and salt.

3Add blackberries, tossing to coat.

4Pour berry mixture into pastry-lined pie plate.

5Cut slits in top crust; place on top of filling.

6Seal and flute edges.

7To prevent overbrowning, cover edge of pie with foil.

8Bake in a 375° oven for 20 minutes.

9Remove foil.

10Bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer or until golden.

11Cool on rack.

12Serve with ice cream, if desired.
