- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. broken pecan pieces (big pieces, not chopped)
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Place butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and melt in oven.

3Put brown sugar in large mixing bowl and pour the melted butter over it.

4Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs.

5Mix in flour, baking powder, vanilla, pecans and chocolate chips.

6Pour batter into already buttered pan.

7Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan.

8When cool, cut in squares.
