- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (I prefer unbleached)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F.

2Place all of the butter (1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons), brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Mix well.

3Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

4Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.

5Grease and flour an 9x13x2 inch baking pan.

6Press dough into the pan.

7Bake for 25-30 minutes.

8Cool in pan before cutting.
