  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine, cut in pieces
  • 23 cup sugar
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups blueberries (fresh rinsed well and drained, or frozen)
  • 14 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • cream (optional)

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, combine bread, butter, sugar, salt, blueberries, water, and lemon juice.

    Pack mixture into a generously buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish.

    Bake at 350, for 40 minutes, until set.

    Serve blueberry bread pudding hot or cold with cream or a Bourbon Sauce.
