  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shortening (white solid)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 3 c. fresh blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

    Cream together shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using an electric mixer at medium speed.

    Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
