Blueberry Ice Cream Pie

- 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 qt. vanilla ice cream
- 1 (21 oz.) can Wilderness blueberry pie filling
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 475°.

2Press half of ice cream in a layer in bottom of cooled pie shell.

3Freeze.

4Spread 1/2 can of filling over ice cream; re-freeze.

5Cover with layer of ice cream.

6Freeze and top with rest of filling.

7Freeze.

8Add cream of tartar and dash of salt to egg whites and beat.

9Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time and beat.

10Pile lightly on frozen pie and seal well at edge of crust.

11Put pie in oven and bake 3 minutes to brown meringue. Freeze.

12Remove from freezer 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
