- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 12 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 12 tablespoons lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Directions

1Combine the berries, sugar, and 1/2 c water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.

2Remove from heat.

3Dissolve the cornstarch in 1 tablespoon cold water.

4Whisk into the berries.

5Bring to a boil and let boil while whisking for 2 minutes.

6Add the lemon juice.

7Strain the syrup through a sieve into a bowl, pressing the berries with a spatula to extract all the liquid.

8Discard the solids and stir in the maple syrup.
