  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter

    Put sugar, milk, butter and cocoa in a saucepan.

    Bring to a full boil.

    Cook 1 minute (slightly more in humid weather), stirring often.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour over oats and peanut butter quickly.

    Stir well.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper.

    Let stand 30 minutes.

    If they won't harden they can be refrigerated and served cold.
