- 6 c. water
- 4 c. pecan halves
- 1/2 c. sugar
- salt to taste
Directions

1Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan.

2Add pecans; return to boil for 1 minute.

3Drain in a colander; rinse under very hot tap water.

4Shake to remove excess water.

5Place pecans in a large bowl.

6Add sugar; stir well until sugar is dissolved.

7Fry pecans in deep fat at 425° for 5 minutes; remove.

8Drain.

9Place pecans on brown paper; sprinkle with salt while hot.

10Store in an airtight container.
