  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • sprinkle of ginger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 c. flour

Directions

    Boil 2 cups water and 1 cup raisins for 5 minutes.

    Drain juice off raisins, should be about 1 cup.

    Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to juice.

    Stir all together.
