Ingredients
- 1/2 c. rye meal or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. corn meal
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/8 c. molasses
- 1 c. sour milk
Directions

1Mix the dry ingredients.

2Stir in the liquids and mix well. Grease a mold*.

3Fill not more than 2/3 full.

4Put on the cover. Place on a rack in a deep kettle.

5Add boiling water to come halfway up around the mold.

6Cover.
-
7Steam 3 to 3 1/2 hours, keeping water boiling.

8Add more water as necessary.

9Run a knife around the inside of the mold to loosen the loaf to remove it.
