- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. white flour
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Sift all the dry ingredients together.

2Mix the molasses and buttermilk together, then stir into the dry ingredients.

3Pour into a well-greased mold and cover tightly.

4Place on a rack over boiling water.

5Cover the steamer and cook 2 hours.

6Serve steaming hot slices with Boston Baked Beans.

7If there is any leftover, reheat it in a skillet with butter.
