Ingredients
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 1 1/8 cups rye flour
- 1 cup cornflour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 5 7/16 tablespoons molasses
- 1 7/8 cups milk
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 150C.

2Line a loaf tin with parchment paper.

3In large bowl, add the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda, and make a well in the center.

4Heat the milk and molasses on low heat until dissolved, stirring continuously.

5Add the milk to the well of dry ingredients, and gradually mix together with a spoon until the dough is smooth.

6Fill the loaf tin with dough up to 3/4 full.

7Bake for at least 1 hour. Test with a skewer-if it comes out clean it is done.

8Leave to cool on a cooling rack.

9Best eaten the same day.
