- 2 lb. navy pea beans
- 9 c. cold water
- 3 tsp. dry mustard
- 5 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/3 c. chili sauce
- 1 large onion
- 3/4 lb. salt pork
Directions

1Wash beans and leave in water to soak 8 hours or overnight. Bring to boil and cook until tender.

2Mix mustard, salt, pepper, sugar, molasses, vinegar and chili sauce.

3Add to beans; add onion.

4Cut salt pork into slices; scald with hot water.

5Drain and add to beans.

6Bake at 375° for approximately 4 hours.

7Add more boiling water during cooking if beans seem dry.
