Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh cod fillets, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 lb. fresh sea scallops
  • 3/4 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. sliced celery
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 2 c. clam broth (bottled or canned)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. white wine
  • 2 cans (1 lb. each) tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. saffron
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 small lobsters (optional)

Directions

    In large pot, saute onion, celery and garlic in butter until just soft.

    Add clam broth, water, wine, herbs and fish.

    Bring to boil; simmer 10 minutes.

    Add scallops; simmer 10 minutes more. Season to taste.
