- 1 head celery
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley leaves, chopped
- 2 slices bacon
- 10 ounces chicken stock
- salt and black pepper
- 1 ounce butter
Directions

1Clean celery, cut into one-inch pieces and place in a casserole dish.

2Finely chop bacon and onion and sprinkle over celery along with chopped parsley.

3Pour on stock. Dot with knobs of butter. Cover dish and bake in a moderate oven for 30-45 minutes.
