- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 c. sauerkraut, drained
- 2 c. beef bouillon
- 2 apples, sliced
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 potato, grated
Directions

1Melt margarine in large skillet.

2Saute onion until golden brown.

3Stir in sauerkraut and apple slices.

4Pour in bouillon and place bacon slices on top.

5Cover; simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Add grated potato and continue to simmer until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.

6Remove bacon and serve hot.

7Makes 4 to 6 servings.
