  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. All-Bran cereal
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. bran flakes

Directions

    Combine 2 cups boiling water over All-Bran cereal.

    Let cool. Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs.

    Add alternately the wet and dry ingredients.

    Bake muffins at 400° for 15 to 18 minutes. Batter will keep in refrigerator indefinitely.
