- 2 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 qt. buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. bran flakes
- 2 c. All-Bran
Directions

1Mix soda into the boiling water and cool mixture.

2Cream together the remaining ingredients.

3Add the water and soda mixture.

4Bake in papered muffin tins at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.

5Mixture will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week.
