- 6 c. All-Bran cereal
- 1 c. melted shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 5 c. unsifted flour
- 5 tsp. soda
Directions

1Put 2 cups bran into a large bowl.

2Pour boiling water over it and let stand while assembling other ingredients.

3Mix

4in melted shortening.

5Mix remainder of the bran with sugar, eggs and buttermilk.

6Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Combine all ingredients.

7Cover and store in refrigerator overnight.

8Bake as much as desired in muffin tin in a 400° oven for 20 minutes.
