- 2 12 cups cooking natural bran
- 78 cup sour milk
- 1 egg
- 14 cup shortening, melted
- 23 cup molasses
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup raisins or 12 cup chopped dates
Directions

1Soak bran in milk, add beaten egg, melted shortening, and Fancy Molasses.

2Combine sifted dry ingredients with raisins or dates.

3Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir only until flour is moistened.

4Spoon mixture into well-greased muffin pans.

5Bake at 400F for about 20 minutes.
