- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. All-Bran cereal
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 c. flour or a little more
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening and let stand until lukewarm, then add salt, sugar, bran and egg.

2Add yeast dissolved in warm water.

3Add flour, using a little more than called for if necessary to make a soft dough.

4Cover with damp cloth and let rise until double in size.

5Work down and shape into rolls.

6Let rise.

7Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until brown.
