  • 1/2 lb. sugar (for each lb. peaches)
  • 1/2 pt. water (to each lb. sugar)

Directions

    Boil these together.

    Add peaches and boil until a straw can easily penetrate to the stone.

    Take out the peaches and put into jars.
  4. 4
    Mix equal parts of syrup and brandy and pour this over peaches, filling the jars and covering with syrup.

    Seal.
