- 3 c. whole Brazil nuts
- 1 c. pitted dates
- 1 c. drained maraschino cherries
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Put nuts and fruit in large bowl.

2Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

3Pour over nut mixture.

4Mix well.

5Beat eggs until foamy and add vanilla.

6Stir into nut mixture.

7Put in greased and lined pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch).

8Bake at 300° for 1 3/4 hours.

9Cool.

10Wrap in waxed paper.

11Store in tight container or wrap in wine dipped cloth.

12Makes 1 cake.
