- 2 cakes fresh or 2 pkg. granular yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2/3 c. melted shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. salt
- 10 to 11 c. flour (plain)
- 2 beaten eggs
Directions

1Soften yeast and dissolve with 1 teaspoon of sugar in the water (lukewarm).

2Add milk that is cool to lukewarm; add shortening, sugar, salt and eggs.

3Beat well.

4Add flour to make soft dough.

5Let stand 10 minutes.
