- 1/2 c. raisins
- 9 slices bread
- 5 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
Directions

1Sprinkle raisins in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Butter bread on both sides.

3Cut in half and overlap in pan.

4Heat milk and add well beaten eggs, sugar and vanilla.

5Beat and pour over bread. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

6Place pan in another pan of water.

7Bake at 375° for about 1 hour or until custard is set and golden brown.
