- 1 lb. loaf homestyle bread
- 6 c. milk
- 5 to 6 eggs
- 1/4 c. sugar (about)
- vanilla and nutmeg to taste
- seedless raisins
Directions

1Break bread into small pieces in 2 (9 x 12-inch) glass cake pans.

2Beat 3 cups of milk together with 2 to 3 eggs.

3Add sugar, raisins and seasoning and pour 1/2 over each pan.

4Put raisins and nutmeg on top.

5Beat rest of eggs and milk and pour over mixture. Allow to stand about 10 minutes.

6Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes.

7Turn oven down to 300° and bake about 1 hour or until knife comes out clean.

8Makes 24 servings.
