- 1 lb. loaf French bread
- 1 qt. milk
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- Whiskey Sauce
Directions

1Break bread into small chunks and put in a large bowl.

2Add milk and let soak for about 10 minutes.

3Crush with hands until blended.

4Add eggs, sugar, raisins and vanilla.

5Pour margarine into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

6Spoon pudding mixture into pan.

7Bake at 325° for 30 or more minutes, until pudding is firm.

8Let cool, then cut into squares.

9Spoon Whiskey Sauce over individual servings.

10Yields 12 to 15 servings.
