  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cans evaporated milk (12 oz. cans)
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 to 1 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (1 lb.) loaf bread, cut into cubes

Directions

    In a large bowl beat eggs.

    Add milk, sugar, butter, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.

    Mix well.

    Add bread cubes.

    Stir gently.

    Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
