  • 4 c. milk, scalded
  • 2 c. dry bread cubes
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Directions

    Soak bread cubes in scalded milk for 5 minutes.

    Add butter, salt and sugar.

    Gradually add beaten eggs.

    Add vanilla.

    Fold in raisins.

    Bake in Pyrex dish in a pan of a little water until firm (insert knife in center to see if firm) at 350°.
