- 7 slices white bread
- 1 12 cups milk
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, large,slightly beaten
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions

1Slice bread into 1/2 inch cubes.

2Also use the crusts.

3Put in a medium size bowl.

4In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, salt, and cinnamon.

5Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the bread cubes.

6Add the raisins.

7Scald the milk with the butter.

8Pour the scalded milk and butter over the bread cubes.

9Mix lightly.

10Add the beaten eggs and vanilla.

11Mix again.

12Pour into a buttered 8x8 inch pan.

13Set the pan with the bread puddding into a larger outer pan and add about 1/2 inch of very hot water to the outer pan.

14Bake at 325 degrees until set, (When knife comes out clean) about 30-45 minutes.

15Cut into serving pieces when cooled.
